About
local PTSA Meetings
There are generally 3 types of meetings:
General Association Meetings
- This is the general meeting for all members. Speakers are
scheduled and there is a social time with possible refreshments.
Voting actions by the membership at large may occur at these
meetings. Each meeting is limited to 1 hour and the business time
at this meeting will be extremely restricted. Any new business
will be likely deferred to the Executive Board Meeting. Click
here for more info Click here for Schedule
Executive Board Meetings:
- This meeting is generally for the Executive Board regarding business
details of the organization and usually occurs monthly. Voting at
these meetings is limited to members of the Executive Board. NOTE: Any member may attend and
participate in the Executive Board Meeting. Click here for chedule
Committee Meetings: -
Various committees may exist for specific activities. Meetings are
scheduled as needed by the Committee Chair. It is possible that
the Committee need only communicate via email and phone.

Availability
of PTSA Bylaws
Bylaws may be viewed in the school office or contact a PTSA officer.

If you have ideas or new business, it is recommended that you attend at
the Executive Board Meeting. All members are welcome as this is
the preferred venue for PTSA business. The best recommendation is
to contact the president to place the item on the agenda prior to the
Exective Board meeting. Items can be brought up at the general
Association Meeting but discussion may be limited and may be deferred to
the Executive Board Meeting agenda.

Free Money from eScrip!!
Do you want to raise money for Chaboya Middle School without costing
you one cent? You can with eScrip. eScrip is a fundraising program
in which participating merchants donate a percentage of your credit card
purchases to your favorite schools. Once you have registered your
grocery and credit at their secure website, eScrip will automatically
donate a small percentage (usually 1-5%) to the participating
institutions you select. You can even split your participation
among several schools, such as other schools your children might be
attending. It’s painless, free, and secure! What easier way is
there to perform a mitzvah?
Merchants range from Safeway (with your Safeway Card) to Payless Shoe
Source to Macy’s. The list keeps growing, and includes big-ticket items
such as cruises.
To participate, go to http://www.escrip.com
and follow the instructions to sign up. You can search for
Chaboaya, or just enter group ID 6617035.
If you have signed up but do not know your user name or supporter
ID, our eScrip coordinator can give that
information to you (if you signed up through Chaboya). You can also have
your password sent to you via email if you forgot it.
School fundraising has never been easier.
For questions or more information, check out eScrip’s website above, or
contact our eScrip coordinator.

Volunteering at Chaboya Middle School
(activities are also for those of us limited
in time too!)
Volunteer a few hours each school year! The
PTSA selects volunteer opportunities that are specific, short duration,
fun and are performed with other fellow volunteers. Only a
few hours is needed! YOUR HELP IS NEEDED. If interested in
any of the activities, please contact the person identified in the table
below.
For parents:
Volunteering at your child's school is a great opportunity to gain an
understanding of the environment your child experiences most every
day. Show your child that you recognize the importance of their
education and support their social activites.
For students:
Volunteering is a grand way to be involved with some fun activites
happening at the school!
